Got to hurry - musn't be late.
Eleven o'clock every week
Half an hour to reach a peak of hair and beauty
lots of style worth the waiting,
worth the mile it takes for me to reach the studio
with wind-blown locks and cheeks aglow.
So Mechelle greets me at the door,
Neha hands me across the floor
Cloth around my neck and to the chair
"I've come again, to fix my hair!"
Chauffeur's gone across the road
To grab a butty - or so I'm told!
Car park handy for quick away,
To then come back next Tuesday.
Warmest welcome, lots of smiles,
Busy fingers, bags of style,
A happy half-hour being done
And home again for lunch at one.
